The Luminate data came late this week–Thursday night instead of late Monday–but at least it got here. We begin with comparisons between last week and the same week in 2022.

  • Total album sales,-3.8%
  • CD sales, -8.2%
  • Digital albums, -12.6%
  • Digital tracks, -11.0%
  • Vinyl LPs, -1.1%
  • On-demand audio streams, +15.7%

This next comparison is between last week and the week before.

  • Total album sales, +7.9%
  • CD sales, +18.8%
  • Digital albums, +2.7%
  • Digital tracks,+0.9%
  • Vinyl LPs, -1.1%
  • On-demand audio streams, -0.7% 2.508 billion streams in the country last wee)
