Did the release of Taylor Swift’s Midnights album have any effect on the Canadian stats for the week? Yes, but not enough to erase the decline from last year.

  • On-demand audio streams, +13.7%

Tay-Tay’s influence becomes apparent with the week-over-week numbers

  • Total album sales, +21.4%
  • CD sales, +3.5%
  • Digital albums, +20.8%
  • Digital tracks, +3.6%
  • Vinyl LPs, +65.7%(!!!)
  • On-demand audio streams, +1.5% (2.281 billion streams in the country last week)
