To demonstrate solidarity with those protesting the brutal death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police last week, June 2 has been declared Black Out Tuesday. All the major labels are involved as are a ton of indie labels.
It’s rare for the recorded music industry to display such a unified stand against a social issue. This is good–a good start, anyway.
But what else can the recorded music industry do? This is a very difficult question about a complex and deep-seated crisis. We need as much input as possible, so let’s source the crowd.
