We’re Firmly in the Era of the 90s Nostalgia Tour

Not that there’s necessarily anything wrong with that.  If artists want to get paid these days, most of their money is going to come from playing live. Some examples:

Ben Folds Five and the Barenaked Ladies:  They recently played together at the Greek in LA to a solid crowd.

Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox Twenty:  Playing selected dates together.

Under the Sun:  A five-band bill featuring Smash Mouth, Sugar Ray, the Gin Blossoms, Vertical Horizon and Fastball.

Summerland:  Everclear, Live, Filter and Sponge.

Summerland would be excellent. Too bad it won't be anywhere near Edmonton.

Republica and NAD? That would be fantastic!

Yeah, I'm not familiar with CUD, but really liked Republica back in the day. The locals though seem put off that they're on the bill.

I'm so stupidly excited to see Ned's Atomic Dustbin. I was 13 when I discovered them… about a week or two after they played their last show in Toronto.

I follow David Usher's Twitter feed, and he hinted about it for ages before linking back to the website with a great big countdown timer on it. I'm excited to hear some new Moist, honestly! See how far they've all come since Mercedes 5 and Dime.
