What if Rob Zombie were to remake The Sound of Music? Stay with me on this…

Ed Asner, best known as portraying Lou Grant on TV, is also the president of the Screen Actor’s Guild. He was asked on Twitter which movie he’d most like to see Rob Zombie reboot. His answer was, er, inspired.

What might a Rob Zombified Sound of Music be like? The music would have to be brought up to date, of course.

Doe, a deer, a female motherf**king deer
Ray, who drops her with a machine gun
Me, a name I call myself [I may be dangerously schitzophrenic]
Far, a long, long way to run [RUN! HE’S GETTING CLOSER!]
Sew, a needle pulling thread [Through my lips so I cannot scream]
La, a note to follow Sew [Can this be twisted into some kind of Manson reference?]
T, the dude with all the skull tattoos
That will bring us back to Do (oh-oh-oh)Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do
So-do!

We’ll need some Nazis, a lesbian lover for Maria (maybe one of the nuns?), and several examples of cannibalism.

Whatever. I’m in.
