What if someone got Michael Bolton to sing John Bolton’s book?

I’m about halfway through John Bolton’s book, The Room Where It Happened, in which the former National Security Advisor documents his dealings with the Trump Administration.

It’s a tough slog. Bolton’s writing style is dense with lots of parenthetical references and footnotes. And it’s less about how much of an idiot Trump is (although there’s lots of that) than it is a defense of his views on foreign policy. Still, now that I’ve started it, I’m going to finish the thing.

Then again, maybe we should all just listen to this. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert–beating John Oliver to the punch–hired Michael Bolton to sing John Bolton’s book. Not hit single material, but…
