What is this mysterious new Velvet Underground album?

The Velvet Underground has often been called the first-ever alt-rock band because of their unconventional approach to music, lyrics, arrangement, and style. One part of that was the drumming of Mo Tucker.

First, having a female drummer in a rock back in the 1960s was unheard-of. Second, Mo didn’t play like regular drummers. She played standing, hitting two bass drums turned on their side using mallets instead of sticks.

This brings me to the second VU album, White Light/White Heat.

There are stories emerging from the NYC city area about a new “unofficial” version of White Light/White Heat entitled Mo Light/Mo Heat. The vinyl record features nothing but Mo’s isolated drum tracks. Discogs.com has this entry saying that it is limited to 100 copies and first appeared back in August.

I think I need this.
