What makes Ringo Starr Ringo? Watch him explain his technique

Anyone who says that Ringo Starr isn’t a very good/inventive drummer should be dismissed immediately. Such a critic obviously doesn’t know anything about playing the drums. Ringo was never a flashy drummer, but his technique, sense of time, and his creativity is insanely good.

In the fall of 2019, I got to spend a little time with Ringo and as a drummer myself, I wanted to know how being a natural left-hander who was forced to play a right-handed kit shaped his style and he kindly gave me a quick tutorial. This video, however, goes deeper into what makes Ringo Ringo.
