Where do things stand for fan voting with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

The fan voting component when it comes to who gets into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame continues on its silly way. Fans can vote once a day, every day. At the end of it all, the fan votes collectively count for ONE (1) vote against the other thousand or so votes from the members of the Rock Hall Committee. This does, however, give us an idea of how the Committee and rock fans match up–or don’t.

This is where things stood as of yesterday afternoon with 971,634 votes case.

  1. Phish (153,308)
  2. Billy Idol (92,642)
  3. Soundgarden (88, 421)
  4. Bad Company (84,631)
  5. Cyndi Lauper (80,722)
  6. Joe Cocker (76,262)
  7. Chubby Checker (69,233)
  8. Black Crowes (61,762)
  9. Mariah Carey (56,051)
  10. Outkast (49,345)
  11. Joy Division + New Order (48,398)
  12. The White Stripes (46,624)
  13. Oasis (45,759)
