Which Artists Have the Most Fake Twitter Followers?

Just because you have a lot of followers on Twitter doesn’t mean that all of them are real.  Status People is a site that will root out how many of those followers are fake or inactive (read: just as useless as fake.)

I checked the other day and found out that 77% of my peeps are real, 19% are inactive and only 4% are phonies.  That’s apparently pretty good.

Lady Gaga?  Not so good.  Billboard did some analysis and found that of her nearly 29,000,000 Little Twitter Monters, only about 8.3 million are of any use.

Now 8.3 million followers is still gigantic and extremely useful.  But that’s a little less than the advertised 29M.

Check out Billboard to read about more inflated numbers.
