Who are the wealthiest musicians in Britain? There’s a new list.

The Sunday Times Rich List is out, an annual ranking of people in the British music industry who have the most money. Rankings are calculated on sales, streaming, touring, publishing, catalogue reissues, and all the other available revenue streams.

  1. Sir Leonard Blavatnik, owner of Warner Music Group, among many other things: £26.852 billion or CAD$49.337 billion. That is NOT a typo. I
  2. Clive Calder, co-founder of Zomba and former owner of Jive, two big boy band labels: £3.25 billion (CAD$5.970 billion)
  3. Sir Cameron Mackintosh, theatre producer behind Hamilton, Les Miz, Phantom of the Opera, etc.: £1.4 billion (CAD$2.572 billion)
  4. Sir Paul and Lady (Nancy) McCartney: £1.055 billion (CAD$1.930 billion)
  5. Lord Lloyd-Webber, composer: £516 million (CAD$948 million)
  6. Sir Elton John: £480 million (CAD$882 million)
  7. Sir Mick Jagger: £450 million (CAD$827 million)
  8. Keith Richards: £450 million (CAD$827 million)
  9. Ed Sheeran: £410 million (CAD$753 million)
  10. Emily Eavis and family, founders and owners of the Glastonbury festival: £400 million (CAD$735 million)
  11. Noel and Liam Gallagher: £375 million (CAD$689 million)
