Who killed Jam Master Jay? A new Netflix documentary.

In the last thirty-some years, the number of hip-hop musicians who have been murdered is somewhere close to forty. A shocking number of those murders are still unsolved.

One of those cold cases is that of Jason Mizell, otherwise known as Run-DMC’s DJ, Jam Master Jay. He was shot to death in his own studio by a couple of men who barged in on the night of October 3, 2002.

Netflix has a new documentary on the case. Get more background at Decider.
