Why do so many musicians want to record in analogue?

Overwhelmingly, recording studios depend on digital technology, although some still keep their old tape machines on hand just in case they have a client who demand something more old-school. There’s usually an old 16-track or 24-track machine pushed into a corner.

But why would a modern artist want to record using old technology? Because in some cases, it can be better. This video entitled The Real Reason Why Analog Recording is better, outlines some of the advantages of going non-digital.
