Back when I was in a band, our bass player and singer was so paralyzed with stage fright that needed a triple rum-and-Coke before he’d go onstage. He did okay most nights beyond the occasional slurred word and dropped note. The rest of us tolerated his little ritual because his pre-drinking allowed the show to go on.

But there are limits to how much one should drink before hitting the stage. Witness Azazel, a Finnish death metal band who had a little too much before this set. (Via Danny and Noisey)
