WTF?

Wife shames husband’s snoring by posting it on Spotify.

I’m always getting poked in the middle of the night by my wife who insists that I’m snoring. She must be hearing things. When she says I won’t stop, she moves to the spare bedroom.

This woman apparently had the same issue. To make her point with the husband, she recorded him snoring, twisted it slightly, and posted the result on Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming music services. And then…

A couple of questions: (1) How did this recording end up being recommended to listeners? And (2) in order for these streams to be counted, people had to listen to the recording for no less than 30 seconds. Why would people listen to some stranger snoring for that long?

By the way, a quick and very rough calculation suggests that these streams returned about $200 in streaming royalties.
