Is This the World’s Largest Rock Band? The Guinness Book of World Records Says So, But…

According to Niume.com, the boffins at the Guinness Book at World Records were on hand at the Beijing Contemporary Music Academy to certify that China has created the largest rock band ever. With 953 members, Guinness says, this is the biggest band of all time.

But hang on. What about that group in Italy that offered up those famous tributes to the Foo Fighters known as the Rockin1000? The last time I looked, 1,000 >953. But maybe their error was not to have a Guinness rep to verify their numbers.
