Worst. Talent Show. Ever.

Shimali De Silva is a 14 year-old aspiring singer from Australia.  Enterting an international pop talent contest called the K-Pop Star Hunt, she made it all the way to the finals of the Hong Kong portion of the competition.

During filming, organizers told her that she was going to be given a surprise.  And that’s when things got weird.

Organizers of the talent contest were concerned about her looks.  “Yes, you’re 14, but you look 30.” So they flew her to Seoul to see a plastic surgeon.  Apparently, the curvature of her forehead and the ratio of her nose to her chin were all wrong.

Shimali called her mom in tears who flew to Seoul and brought home her daughter.

Here’s the audition video that got Shimali into the contest in the first palce.
