Would You Spend $5700 for 20 Seconds of Music?

Someone did. 

When the mysterious Scottish band Boards of Canada offered up a special Record Store Day release entitled ——- / ——- / ——- / XXXXXXX / ——- / ——- (I swear to God that’s the title), collectors went crazy.

Yet all the record featured was a 20-second burst of music (see video below).  That’s it.  And yet when the record went up for sale on eBay earlier this year, it sold for about $5,700 CAD.
