Wouldn’t it be cool of Spinal Tap played a show at the real Stonehenge? Well, guess what?

I don’t know how we didn’t know about this–was I asleep?–but Spinal Tap played the first-ever rock show filmed at the actual Stonehenge in England. Not only that, but the concert movie also features guest appearances from Eric Clapton, Shania Twain(!!!), and Josh Groban (again, !!!). Its official title is Spinal Tap at Stonehenge: The Final Finale.

The film has a distribution deal and will appear in theatres in both regular formats and IMAX(!!!).

If you know your Spinal Tap his, Stonehenge figured prominently in both movies. In the first, someone got the specs wrong and when the little people came out to dance, the Stonehenge monuments weren’t exactly of impressive size. In the just-released sequel, the stones are the right size, but they were terribly unstable and nearly killed Elton John–and everyone else, for that matter.

But is this really the final finale? I somehow wouldn’t count on it. I guess we know who the Druids were and what they were doing in 3100 BCE: They were making an arena for a weird metal band. Talk about playing the long game, huh?
