Yes, everyone is still talking about the new Tool album. Let’s unbox the special edition packaging.
Overkill? It would be if (a) the album wasn’t as good as it is and (b) we didn’t need an antidote to the current all-Taylor-Swift-all-the-time assault.
If you spend the big dollars (~CAD$60) for the special packaging, you’re probably still messing with it.
Totally OTT, this thing. It was conceived by and directed by Adam Jones and features a 4” HD rechargeable screen with exclusive video footage, charging cable, 2-watt speaker, a 36-page booklet and a digital download card.
If you want to buy one of these things, there’s a list of retailers within these links.
If you don’t want to spring for all that, a vinyl release will be coming soon. There will also be a standard CD edition that won’t cost as much.
Tool has also announced the next leg of their tour.
