It’s time for the Black Friday edition of Record Store Day for Canada

The Black Friday edition of Record Store Day is tomorrow. If you fancy some shopping, read on.

If you’re a Blue Rodeo fan, you’ll love Songs Seldom Heard, a limited-edition release (just 1,000 units for the whole world). It will come in translucent emerald vinyl. Expect lots of deep cuts rarely played live with plenty of band-written liner notes.

If Quebecois rock is your thing, Offenbach, the highly influential Montreal progressive blue-srock band formed in the late 60s, will offer Le Dernier Show, recorded at the Montreal Forum in 1985, And just like the title says, it’s the band’s last gig, on 4 X LP.

We need some Spinal Tap, of course. The RSD “Scalpers Edition” of The End Continues soundtrack album (limited to 2000 copies). It features three new unheard tracks, special artwork, a posted, And it’s coming on 181 gram vinyl, which is, of course, one more than the standard 180 gram release.

Expect new vinyl editions from The Doors, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Colloective Soul, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, The Ramones, Sugar, Warren Zevon, Joni Mitchell, Brendan Benson, The Rolling Stones, The Grateful Dead, Prince & The Revolution, Miles Davis, George Harrison, The Flaming Lips, The Notorious B.I.G., and Led Zeppelin. This is cool, too. Talking Heads have released “newly discovered” demos when they were still known as The Artistics.
