Your weird Throwback Thursday music video for the week

Back in the 80s, it was fashionable for musicians to get together to create a charity single in an effort to change the world.

You remember, right? Band Aid and Live Aid. Northern Lights. “We Are the World.” But did you know about Swedish Metal Aid from 1985? Danny dug this out for us. Thanks–I think.

  • Around 1985, when all these charity singles were coming out, I seem to remember a version of “With a Little Help From My Friends”, featuring a bunch of hair metal bands that were popular in the day. I can’t seem to find any reference to it online, though. Did this actually happen, or was it just a dream/nightmare?
