Guess which artist is the most expensive for music fans. Yep. That one.

Being a music fan is expensive. Between a streaming subscription, vinyl, CDs, t-shirts, merch, and concert tickets, it can cost a lot to maintain your fandom.

A site called Self-Financial did some research to discover which artist costs the most to support. And if you guessed Taylor Swift, you’d be right. All prices are in US dollars.

  • The average cost to support from ONE of the most-streamed artists is US$319.76. That includes a concert ticket, some kind of wearable merch, and a vinyl record.
  • The average price for a concert ticket for the 95 most-streamed artists is US$168.16.
  • Want to buy a t-shirt and hoodie? That combo has an average cost of US$120.
