The Alphabetical Archive for 20 August 2012: Hum

As we take another spin through my record collection, pulling out a song from each section every day, we arrive at H.  This is where we find another one-hit-wonder from the post-grunge era.

Hum, a solid band from Champaign, Illinois, released a 1995 album called You’d Prefer an Astronaut in 1995.  One song–and only one song–from that album managed to break through.

It was also used in a Cadillac commercial, so at least they made some extra cash.
