A New Album from…Joey Ramone?

No, the resurrection hasn’t happened, but the stone has been rolled away from some old demos that Joey completed for his death in 2001.

The collection will be called Ya Know? and will feature 17 tracks recorded by the Ramones that were destined for either a new Ramones album or for another Joey solo record.  (Lest we forget, Joey’s first solo album, Don’t Worry About Me, was released posthumously in 2002.)

Not all the tracks were finished, so parts were contributed by Steven Van Zandt, members of Cheap Trick and Joan Jett.

Ya Know?–a phrase that OCD-suffering Joey inserted at the end of just about every sentence he ever spoke–will be out May 17.
