Gibson Guitars isn’t happy with Donald Trump. Here’s why.

Gawd. This pumpkin will sell anything, including Trump Guitars. But hey, doesn’t this look like a Gibson Les Paul? Gibson wouldn’t have licensed that design to Trump, would they?

No. No, they didn’t. That’s why they’ve sent Trump Guitars a cease-and-desist order. Gibson is very, very, VERY protective about their guitar designs.

Meanwhile, the Trump Guitars website features his image all over the place, plugging “the only guitar officially endorsed by President Donald J. Trump” and retail for US$1,500. A few of them have been signed by him. Those sell for US$11,500. But they’re knock-offs of the original Les Paul.

Trump Guitars don’t seem to be owned by Trump at all but by a company called 16 Creative. We’ll see where this goes–hopefully in the same direction as his casinos, steaks, vodka, university, charities, and all his other garbage venues.
