How the Sony Walkman Changed the World

If you’re of a certain vintage, you’ll remember what a shock to the system the Sony Walkman was. While it wasn’t the first portable personal music player (cf. the Stereobelt), it was the device that set us on the road to becoming a planet of sealed-off headphone-wearing zombies.
