Interested in the business of music? Check out MUBUTV

Half of the music business is “business,” which can be really, really difficult to navigate. Musicians need all the help they can get. Enter MUBUTV, a video channel that wants to help.

MUBUTV was launched before the pandemic and then forced into a hiatus because—well, the pandemic. It has since relaunched with new content and features. That includes the Insider Podcast which features conversations with actual music business people: managers, producers, A&R people, radio people, and more. Here’s a taste.

On the video side, there are masterclass sessions with everyone from Kevin Lyman (founder of the Warped Tour), songwriter Shelly Peiken (Christina Aguilera, Meredith Brooks), Michael Chugg (Chugg Entertainment), UK artist manager Andy Farrow (Opeth, Devin Townshend, Paradise Lost), Canadian Music Week founder Neil Dixon, and George Ergatoudis formerly of BBC Radio and now head of Apple Music UK and many others.

Might be worth checking out, no.
