Just in time for the long weekend: Tragically Hip Road Apples cider

The Tragically Hip have long been involved in various branded libations. The latest, a project with Thornberry Village, is Road Apples Craft Cider.

Before you ask, it’s made with actual Canadian apples–is in the fruit–rather than road apples. For the uninitiated, a “road apple” in Canadianese is a piece of horse poop. You wouldn’t want a drink made with that. It’s described as having a “clean, fresh apple flavour and aroma, light-body, with a smooth, lingering, crisp apple finish.” It’s vegan and gluten free/

The new cider (5.1 alcohol) is currently available online but will soon make its way to liquor stores across Canada.
