I Like This: Jack Moves

Toronto one-man-band Jack Moves uses live looping to layer his vocals into a unique combination of hip-hop and electro-pop. He initially gained a reputation for his unique cover sets, as he would essentially build the songs from the ground up. His original music can be bright and groovy, but it goes through a dark place to get there. Think Frank Zappa meets Bobby McFerrin.

His latest album is called Work To Rule, and you can stream it below. He’s also got a release show tonight (Friday, March 2nd) in Toronto.
