Meanwhile, Back in the Court System…

A couple of famous musicians have found themselve on legal dockets:

ITEM 1:  Jack White’s ex-wife files a restraining order against him.

No, not Meg.  This time it’s Karen Elson.  You might remember a story from two years ago that described a party held by Jack and Karen to celebrate their amiable break-up.  Now it’s not so amiable.

The City Paper out of Nashville reports that Elson has received a restraining order against Jack over allegations of harrassment.  The writ reads “Wife fears for her and the children’s safey as a result of this harassment.”  It also describes how Jack called up his ex-wife’s paralegal “in an inappropriate and aggressive manner.”

And there’s more.  The order describes Jack as have a violent temper and someone who has a tendency to send harassing emails and text messages.

This is apparently in response to what’s turning out to be a very difficult divorce settlement.  Read more here.

ITEM 2:  Gogol Bordello is suing their own singer

This can’t end well.  The band claims that frontman Eugene Hutz is in brech of contract, fidiciary duty and “unjust enrichment” after he transferred funds from the band’s bank account to his.  Oh, and the band has a new album to promote.  More at Billboard.

ITEM 3:  Drummer in Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti is suing

Aaron Sperske was kicked out of the band a year ago.  He’s suing–and the band didn’t initially take him seriously.  Bad move.  Read more at Billboard.
