Metallica’s James Hetfield is spending the pandemic making coffee tables. Yes, coffee tables. Want one?

With no possible way to tour for the foreseeable future, musicians are trying to keep busy. Many are writing and recording new material, but you need a break from that to recharge.

James Hetfield continues to work on his classic cars–he’s been collecting and restoring them for years–but he’s also started to branch out a bit. The automotive work has taught him to be a pretty fair welder and woodworker, so he’s using those skills to make…coffee tables.

He calls his furniture “The Covid Collection by JH” and he’s raffling them all off through Metallica’s All Within My Hands foundation. Each table will be signed and personalized by James.

If you want to enter to win one of these tables, go here before June 30. Each US$10 donation equals one ticket for the draw.
