National Radio Day is Coming up August 20

Okay, this is an American thing, but the last time I checked, we have radio here in the attic of North America, too. So what is National Radio Day and why is it worth celebrating?

As the official website says, it’s “a day for communities across the country to celebrate radio. So many ways for listeners, indie producers and stations to get involved. Listen to shows. Volunteer and donate. Be part of the Radio Relay. Share promos. Send sonic love notes to radio over the airwaves.”

Organizers are asking fans of radio to use #NationalRadioDay and to check out their Facebook page. Meanwhile, listeners are encouraged to go here to participate while radio stations can go here to learn more about what they can do.
