Ongoing History Daily: Linkin Park facts

Here are a few things that you might need to know about Linkin Park.

  • Before he found the right guys to form the right band, vocalist Chester Bennington worked at Burger King.
  • If you back into his career, guitarist Brad Delson was an extra in the 1991 movie, Ted & Bill’s Bogus Journey.
  • Mike Shinoda is a very distant relative of Tchaikovsky, the Russian composer of the 1800s.
  • At age 10, drummer Rob Bourdon got a drum pedal from Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer, who was friends with his mom.
  • And Phoenix, the bass player, is known as David Farrell to his mom. He used to be in a Christian ska-punk band called Tasty Snax, which is when he picked up that nickname.

The last post dealt with some pre-Foos Dave Grohl.
