Search for British missing Scottish indie musician ends in the worst way possible

Before Scott Hutchison of the Glasgow band Frightened Rabbit went missing earlier this week, he tweeted “I’m away now, thanks.” Then he disappeared. He walked out of a hotel at 1 am Wednesday night/Thursday morning and vanished.

When his family reported him missing on Wednesday, they were concerned about Scott’s state of mind. He’d suffered from depression and although he’d been working through it–and helping others afflicted with the same issues–he was having a bad time.

Thursday night, his body was found in the Forth River. Eerily, Scott wrote a song in 2008 entitled “Floating in the Forth.”

The name of the band came from the nickname Scott’s mother gave to him as a child.
