Cool!

Is There Somewhere Online That People Can Compare Their Music Collections?

This email arrived from Steve yesterday:

Hi Alan,I know you have a very large vinyl collection. I have heard you mention it’s size on old podcasts/OGHONM and such, and was wondering if there is an online repository as such, similar to boardgamegeek.com in which you can log in and create an online list of ones collection.

Great question.  Can anyone help Steve?

  • Myrecordlist.com is really good. I have my growing collection on there!

  • I would recommend http://www.discogs.com. Not only can you add your collection but it is all based on cat#s. It is quite easy to enter them in. I use this site while shopping as well. If a vendor is trying to tell me it’s an original press from Germany, I can verify. The site also has a very affordable marketplace to buy/sell. Follow me on twitter – The Vinyl Detective
