Stressed? Need to get it all out? Here’s the perfect website for that.

If you find yourself at some kind of breaking point with all the anxiety, lockdown depression, political strife, economic uncertainty, and the coldness of winter, you have several choices. You can jam everything into a black ball deep in your stomach. You can turn to drugs and/or alcohol. Or you can just let it all out with a scream.

That’s where Just a Scream comes in. Just call +1 (561) 567-8431 and let ‘er rip. Then have a listen to the screams of other people.

Go on. You’ll feel better. (Via Tom)

  • I’m a total believer n screaming therapeutically. Sometimes, just a quiet scream (not in your head), physically opening your mouth and screaming a (whisper?) can sometimes fulfill the same thing. Screaming along to music is another of my go tos. You can’t rely on a crutch like screaming in traffic or when you are in a place where anger has already overtaken you -necessarily-. Gen X Ready Steady Go is a fave. Songs from Fear are another one. I’m sure there are many others but those are two off the top of my head. I think GenX is my fave though; it has one of those lovely drops where you’re just thrumming in anticipation to let it all out. GlasVegas, a band which I really like and I wish they could get their act together again, has Go Square Go which is pretty good too.

If only my truly favorite thing which is those small enterprises where you can break things like bottles or chinaware against brick walls and such would work in America. I love to open one but I’ve never read of one succeeding here although I think they do fabulously overseas. Haven’t researched the concept in years but beer bottles on concrete is such a satisfying way to release pent up energy. Something I wouldn’t do in a million years as an adult but did when I was young and stupid and very thoughtless of anything that didn’t fit into my very small world.
