The One Minute Music Book Club: Abbey Road NW8 by David Hepworth

Abbey Road in the St. John’s Wood area of London (just north of the crosswalk) has to be the most famous recording studio in the world. I’ve had the good fortune of both touring and working there. (Some of the interviews for the CFNY: The Spirit of Radio documentary were shot in what’s called The Garden Studio).

I love the place. Given all the music that was born there–Beatles, Pink Floyd, Oasis, Muse, and so many others–it’s a sacred spot.

Abbey Road NW8: The Inside of the World’s Most Famous Recording Studio by David Hepworth (with a forward by Paul McCartney) tells the studio’s story.
