WTF?

This guy wants to form a MAGA version of Rage Against the Machine

I’m constantly amused by social media posts from people who have suddenly discovered that Rage Against the Machine is a “woke” band. They’re appalled at this realization. Duh. Have you not been paying attention?

In recent weeks, an ad appeared on Craigslist placed by a North Carolina musician who wants to form a “conservative Rage Against the Machine.” I quote:

“Looking for politically conservative bassist & drummer to start the right’s version of Rage Against the Machine. I plan on singing, playing guitar and writing a lot of Rage-type songs and would like to tour the area opening up for political events. If you love America and are pissed about what the left and globalists have done to our country, please contact me.”

To underscore this point, the ad features a picture of the actual Rage Against the Machine. Dude: Did you not get the memo?

Naturally, the internet’s reaction has been hilarious, especially when it comes to what this band should be called. Rage For The Machine, Cog in The Machine, Rage on Behalf of the Regime, Rage Against the Working Class, Lick the Boot, and Bootlickers are among the suggestions. My favourite? “F**k you, I’m Going to Do What You Tell Me.”

Imagine the “freedom-oriented” songs they might write . Reddit did.

  • “Immigrants on Parade”
  • “Rightwing Radio”
  • “Brown People of the Sun”
  • “Deporting the Renegades of Funk”
  • “Kids in the Mine”

‘Murica, amirite?
