Cool!

This is what the bottom of the ocean sounds like. Terrifying, really.

What would you hear if you sunk a titanium-encased microphone down into the Pacific Ocean’s Mariana Trench? This is the deepest spot in any ocean on the planet, reaching a depth of 11,000 metres (36,000 feet). With such intense pressures, how do sound waves behave? To put it another way, was does the deepest ocean abyss sound like?

Scary. Really, really scary. Kinda like dark ambient music imagined by a group like Sunn 0))).
