Want to connect CarPlay or Android Auto to your car? Check out this gizmo

Every time there’s a change in auto infotainment technology, there’s always a period where people have to MacGyver ways of keeping up. For example, you might remember using this thing to connect your newfangled portable CD player to your car stereo using its in-dash cassette player.

We’re in the same sort of situation right now with smartphones. How best to connect a smartphone to a car that doesn’t have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto? Maybe with this thing called the CarrGenie.

  • Maybe these guys are smarter than the rest of the IGG and KS “creaters”, but I have backed two projects each on Indiegogo and Kickstarter over the past 5 years and got screwed in the ear every time, but luckily it might only be $200 in total. Not once have I seen ever seem any physical items delivered and it’s been crickets from either IGG or KS as to what happened to my money, so I’ ll wait until I see it on a shelf somewhere…
