We have our first performer for FYRE II and, uh, well…

As of today (March 10), Billy McFarland’s Fyre Festival II is set to start on the Mexican island of Isla Mujeres. That’s 81 days. Even though tickets have already gone on sale, no one on the island knows anything about it. We have no idea of what the entertainment or activities will be. No permits have been issued. And no hotels seem to be onboard. Seems legit for a festival where the cheapest ticket is US$1,400 and the most expensive is US$1.1 million.

Yet McFarland maintains that the festival is “real” and will happen as scheduled. As “proof” (I guess), the first performer has been announced. It’s NFL star Antonio Brown, the former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver. He’s the headliner.

Wait–wut? A football player is your headliner? Yep. This is according to TMZ Sports.

Hang on. Antonio is a rapper. See? Don’t you remember how big this hit was at the 2022 Rolling Loud festival in Miami? No? Oh…

I’ll say it again: Anyone who buys tickets to FYRE II has way too much money and is missing 90% of their brain.
