Billy Corgan dropped into a small AM radio station in Cushing, Oklahoma, on his way to talk to people in their homes about ‘Murica. (No, really. He’s on a new mission.)
Billy Corgan is full of surprises. One second he’s talking about Marilyn Manson’s penis size, the next, he’s sitting down to play some pretty damned beautiful acoustic guitar with an unsuspecting folk singer.
The Smashing Pumpkins frontman was cutting through Cushing, Oklahoma while promoting/filming his upcoming documentary on American values when he stopped at the small AM radio station KUSH 1600. Though the interview was scheduled, no one told the morning show’s other guests, local folk singer Katie Williams and guitarist Bob Moore. To their surprise, Corgan offered to sit in with the musicians for an acoustic performance of one of Williams’ songs.
