Yaphet Kotto, featured in Live and Let Die and Alien, has died. He left behind a soul record.

Although he had many roles, most people will remember Yaphet Kotto as the scary Mr. Big in Live and Let Die and later as one of the engineers aboard the Nostromo in the first Alien movie. He died this week at his home in the Philippines. No cause of death has been reported.

While he left behind a huge body of work with his acting, he also recorded this spoken word soul record back in 1968. Early rap? Maybe. (Via Tom)
