24 hours after announcing a jump from one label to another, blink-182 drops a new single

On Thursday, word came down that blink-182 was jumping from BMG (an indie label these days) to Columbia (part of the Sony Music empire). This morning (September 6), a new single from an upcoming album suddenly appeared.

A new album? Yes. Blink’s eighth album will be called, er, NINE! (Yes, in ALL CAPS.) It’ll be out September 20.
