Arkells had a live encounter with an illegal drone. The police wanted a word–and we now know the person behind it.

Arkells played a show over the weekend in Winnipeg when singer Max Kerman had an encounter with a drone during the show. Nothing bad happened, but the incident was reported and the operator arrested. Now the band is hoping that they get the footage from the drone so they can use the video.

Max explains everything here.

UPDATE: The guy behind the drone has spoken. It looks like this has a happy ending.

  • By the way of an update the drone operator was not arrested but contacted by Winnipeg police to cease operation which he did. Apparently the Arkells reached out on social media & he contacted them. They will be discussing using the footage in a possible live concert video.
