AWOLNATION Set to Release Sophomore Album ‘Run’ March 17

AWOLNATION recently announced the release of their second studio album Run, which is set to drop via Red Bull Records on March 17.

A culmination of the years following the release of the band’s chart-topping debut, Megalithic Symphony, the 14-track, Run, was written, performed and produced entirely by musical architect Aaron Bruno. The end result is a finely tuned musical masterwork that is at times, and all at once, sprawling, atmospheric, exuberant, earnest and refined with moments of a signature aggressive unease.

“There is not one second on the record that hasn’t been thoughtfully placed,” says Bruno. “Every single element serves a purpose.”

Standout songs include lead single “Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf),” the cinematic “Jailbreak,” soaring anthem “I Am,” the euphoric “Windows,” and the the album’s title track “Run.”

It looks as though 2015 is shaping up to be a big year for AWOLNATION, and with an extensive U.S. summer tour which includes a stop at this year’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival as well as select dates at various Stateside festivals, currently in the works, fans of the band have plenty to look forward too.

  • Excited for this. I’d been feeling pretty underwhelmed (if that’s a word) by modern alternative rock for a long time, and it was making me feel old and out of touch. Megalithic Symphony was just so damn fucking good though and made me feel excited again about new music. Can’t wait!
