Chalk Circle: Back Together Yet Again [Audio Interview]

There have been Chalk Circle reunions before, but this time they have something special to celebrate.  First, they were able to acquire the rights to all their music from Duke Street Records.  Second, those releases–The Great Lake (1986), Mending Wall (1987) and As the Crow Flies (1989)–have all been remastered for greater clarity. All are now available on iTunes.

The latest reunion will take place on Friday, June 7 at Lee’s Palace in Toronto.  The week of the gig, I had a chance to talk to singer/guitarist Chris Tait and bass player Brad Hopkins.

  • I'm really looking forward to the show Friday night. I saw them there in '06 and the performance was great. The band has ties back to my hometown and high school and I have followed their music since the beginning. I do have all the music, but am anxious to hear the refreshed sound that Chris was alluding to in the interview.
