MOST READ 1: Dave Grohl acted as Geddy Lee’s Uber driver in Toronto on Saturday

For reasons that are for the moment mysterious, Dave Grohl was in Toronto Saturday (June 1) hanging out with Geddy Lee. That was all fine, but Geddy had a signing event for his Big Beautiful Book of Bass at Cosmo MusicFest that afternoon.

“No problem,” Dave apparently said. “I’ll drive you!” So he did.

I just happened to be at the event four feet from the spot where the Grohl-driven SUV parked. As Geddy stepped out of the passenger side door, Dave got out of the driver’s side and raced past me into a staff entrance exclaiming “Sorry! Gotta pee!”

And with that, he was gone.

I kept a lookout for him for the rest of the afternoon but try as I might, I couldn’t find Dave. Maybe I should have paid more attention.

Me: “Dave Grohl? Where? Are you sure?”
