Russian inventor Leon Theremin came up with his hands-free electronic musical instrument almost a hundred years ago. It remains one of the most esoteric instruments of all time. They might be more popular if (a) they were easier to play and (b) less expensive.

The latter problem may have been solved with the new Stylophone Pitch Theremin is apparently coming soon. The price? Just US$110. More details here.
